In This for the Long-Haul: Providing Care to Long-COVID Patients

Description:  Participants will review the definition of Long_COVID Syndrome including the various forms and symptoms that have been documented with this illness.  The presentation will also address the effects the illness has had on patients, their families, and the communities including physical, psycho-social/emotional, spiritual, and financial impacts.  Treatment options will also be discussed including traditional and complementary alternative therapies.

Learning Outcomes:

1.  Identify 5 negative impacts that Long-COVID has had on patient health.

2. Develop 3 nursing interventions that can improve perceived quality of life in patients with Long-COVID.
