Evidence-based Practice and the FCN II: Executing EBP Projects in the Faith Community

BIO: Mary Lynne Knighten, DNP, RN, NEA-BC is a board-certified nurse executive with 37 years of progressive management experience leading patient care operations, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance, developing staff, building clinical programs, improving patient satisfaction and quality outcomes, mitigating cost inefficiencies, controlling budgets, conducting research, and negotiating contracts for major medical centers and teaching hospitals. Faculty at private universities, published author, speaker, and internationally recognized expert in patient-and family-centered care, leadership, and faith community nursing. Dr. Knighten has published extensively in the area of faith community nursing and teaches evidence-based practice to doctoral students in translation of research to practice courses at two universities. She currently is the Health Ministry Director at St. Dominic Catholic Church, a congregation of over 3,000 families in Los Angeles California, the Faith Community Nursing Foundations course Lead Educator at Azusa Pacific University, and is the President of Faith Community Nurses International (FCNI).
Description: Following the first webinar “EBP I: Inspiring a Spirit of Inquiry to Solve Practice Problems,” learners will explore evaluation data, observation of faith community nurse practice, input from stakeholders, and review the current EBP literature.
