Disaster Management for Faith Community Nurses
Climate change has made all communities vulnerable to natural disasters. In this two-hour session, participants will review the different components of the disaster management plan and discuss the role of the FCN in each section: Mitigation, Preparedness, Response, and Recovery. FCNs will discuss different tools to address these areas and share ideas with each other on ways to prevent and prepare members of the faith community from disasters, as well as steps the FCN can take to respond and help members of the faith community to recover from disasters. FCNs will also discuss how to address the emotional and spiritual crises that can occur after a disaster.
This program will be January 29, 2022, at 12:00-2:00 Eastern Time,
11:00-1:00 Central, 10-12 Mountain, 9-11 Pacific.
